Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in Katy, Texas on April 25 in 1969. Her mother, Kjellfrid (Andreassen), is a former midwife and nurse born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and is also of Swedish as well as Norwegian descent. Emil Erich Zellweger is her father. He is a Swiss engineer. They were married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is a marketing executive and was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee was interested in acting in high school while working on the drama club. She attended an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin) and started to think about acting as a profession. She had a strong desire to become an actor after graduation, but Hollywood isn't easy to get into. Renee decided not to leave Texas and went to audition in Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer she met while on set for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee saw him working on a film and auditioned. The role was given to her in Love and a 45 (1994). The role brought her enough praise that she relocated to Los Angeles. She was then offered another part in The Whole Wide World (1996) which was the first major break. Cameron Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about actors like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei, when he discovered Zellweger's performance on The Whole Wide World (1996). The audition was for Zellweger and was certain he had found his Dorothy Boyd. Renee then followed her enormous success with a few small independent films and after receiving more praise from critics, she felt confident enough to reenter the realm of large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was her co-star in One True Thing (1998). Also, she acted in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) in which she starred alongside Jim Carrey, and soon after, she began to date Jim Carrey.
