Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara is a Colombian-American actor and presenter. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television between 2013 to 2020.Vergara rose to prominence while hosting two TV shows for Spanish-speaking television network Univision in the late 1990s. Her first notable acting job in English was in the movie Chasing Papi (2003). Then, she was in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She first made her mark as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. For this role, she won four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Vergara also voiced roles in animated movies Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also a top-paid Hollywood actress in 2020 [citation required]. Since the year 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was born in Barranquilla by a Roman Catholic couple. Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara was a homemaker while her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. By her five siblings, and numerous cousins, she was named "Toti". Vergara was an undergraduate at National University of Colombia in dentistry. She left after two semesters to pursue modeling and show business.
