Emily Swallow
American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18th, 1979. She is well-known for her role in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and also played a minor part as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18 1979 in Washington, D.C. Her family grew up in Sterling, Virginia, as and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in various amateur, college, and professional theatre productions. Swallow earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies towards an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. The show was the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also starred opposite Mark Rylance in Louis JenkinsThe production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. (citation needed) She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the best female actress for the part of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman collaborated on a stage show titled Jac N Swallow. It was performed at Joe's Pub as well as the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show revolves around the humorous adventures of the two when they face a variety of life situations, each with their own unique degree of sanity and dignity.
